For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit.Those who live according to the flesh fix their attention on the things of the flesh, while those who live according to the Spirit set their thoughts on spiritual things.
But he said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”Jesus replied, “Blessed, rather, are those who hear the word of God and obey it!”
Who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.He gave himself for us in order to deliver us from all iniquity and to purify for himself a people as his own who are eager to do good.
The Lord redeems the life of his servants; none of those who take refuge in him will be condemned.The Lord redeems the lives of those who serve him; no one will be condemned who takes refuge in him.

But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees everything that is done in secret will reward you.
Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.Indeed, persecution will afflict all who want to lead a godly life in Christ Jesus.
Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy.No one who conceals his transgressions will prosper, but one who confesses and renounces them will obtain mercy.

As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy.Instruct those who are rich in this world’s goods that they should not be proud, nor should they trust in the uncertainty of riches but rather in God who richly provides us with everything we need for our enjoyment.
He who walks blamelessly and does what is right and speaks truth in his heart; who does not slander with his tongue and does no evil to his neighbor, nor takes up a reproach against his friend.The one who leads a blameless life and does what is right, who speaks the truth from the heart and does not slander anyone, who does not harm a friend and does not scorn a neighbor.
