| Be still before the Lord, and wait patiently for him; do not fret over those who prosper in their way, over those who carry out evil devices. | Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. |
| And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you. | And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee. |

| Happy are those who keep his decrees, who seek him with their whole heart. | Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart. |
| Those who guard their mouths preserve their lives; those who open wide their lips come to ruin. | He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction. |
| Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven. | Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. |
| But many who are first will be last, and the last will be first. | But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first. |
| Deceit is in the mind of those who plan evil, but those who counsel peace have joy. | Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil: but to the counsellors of peace is joy. |
| One who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and one whose temper is controlled than one who captures a city. | He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city. |
| And those who are in the flesh cannot please God. | So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. |
| For he will repay according to each one's deeds. | Who will render to every man according to his deeds. |
| But the one who endures to the end will be saved. | But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. |
| For they said to you, “In the last time there will be scoffers, indulging their own ungodly lusts.” It is these worldly people, devoid of the Spirit, who are causing divisions. | How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. |
| But when he heard this, he said, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick.” | But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick. |
| The commandment we have from him is this: those who love God must love their brothers and sisters also. | And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also. |
| Those who are attentive to a matter will prosper, and happy are those who trust in the Lord. | He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: and whoso trusteth in the Lord, happy is he. |
| Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. | Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. |
| In reply he said to them, “Whoever has two coats must share with anyone who has none; and whoever has food must do likewise.” | He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise. |
| But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. | But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. |
| And it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. | I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. |
| It is well with those who deal generously and lend, who conduct their affairs with justice. | A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion. |
| But to all who received him, who believed in his name, he gave power to become children of God. | But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name. |
| To those who by patiently doing good seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life. | To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life. |
| I can do all things through him who strengthens me. | I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. |
| They who have my commandments and keep them are those who love me; and those who love me will be loved by my Father, and I will love them and reveal myself to them. | He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. |
| Little children, you are from God, and have conquered them; for the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. | Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. |
