| Everyone then who hears these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on rock. | Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock. |

| For the message about the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. | For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. |
| Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I; send me!” | Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me. |
| “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.” For it is not those who commend themselves that are approved, but those whom the Lord commends. | But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth. |

| One who forgives an affront fosters friendship, but one who dwells on disputes will alienate a friend. | He that covereth a transgression seeketh love; but he that repeateth a matter separateth very friends. |
| Because I delivered the poor who cried, and the orphan who had no helper. The blessing of the wretched came upon me, and I caused the widow's heart to sing for joy. | Because I delivered the poor that cried, and the fatherless, and him that had none to help him. | Speak out for those who cannot speak, for the rights of all the destitute. | Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction. |
| Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance. | I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance. |
| If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will give life to your mortal bodies also through his Spirit that dwells in you. | But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. |
| No one who conceals transgressions will prosper, but one who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy. | He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. |
| But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to make this freewill offering? For all things come from you, and of your own have we given you. | But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee. |

| And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace for those who make peace. | And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace. |
