For they said to you, “In the last time there will be scoffers, indulging their own ungodly lusts.” It is these worldly people, devoid of the Spirit, who are causing divisions.How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.
Everyone who commits sin is guilty of lawlessness; sin is lawlessness.Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
As for those who in the present age are rich, command them not to be haughty, or to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but rather on God who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy.
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I; send me!”Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit.For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
But he said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it!”But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.
He it is who gave himself for us that he might redeem us from all iniquity and purify for himself a people of his own who are zealous for good deeds.Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
O taste and see that the Lord is good; happy are those who take refuge in him.O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
The Lord redeems the life of his servants; none of those who take refuge in him will be condemned.The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.
A gossip goes about telling secrets, but one who is trustworthy in spirit keeps a confidence.A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter.
To get wisdom is to love oneself; to keep understanding is to prosper.He that getteth wisdom loveth his own soul: he that keepeth understanding shall find good.
Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
For, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
For he will repay according to each one's deeds.Who will render to every man according to his deeds.
For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God.For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
Indeed, all who want to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are sanctified.For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
But whenever you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you.But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
Who has performed and done this, calling the generations from the beginning? I, the Lord, am first, and will be with the last.Who hath wrought and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I the Lord, the first, and with the last; I am he.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
And said to them, “Whoever welcomes this child in my name welcomes me, and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me; for the least among all of you is the greatest.”And said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this child in my name receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me receiveth him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great.
Woe to you who strive with your Maker, earthen vessels with the potter! Does the clay say to the one who fashions it, “What are you making”? or “Your work has no handles”?Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou? or thy work, He hath no hands?
