- For whoever finds me finds life
and receives favor from the Lord. - One who finds a wife finds happiness
and receives favor from the Lord. - Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge,
but the one who hates correction is stupid. - The fear of others will prove to be a snare,
but whoever trusts in the Lord is secure. - The one who pays heed to instruction prospers,
and blessed is he who trusts in the Lord. - No one who conceals his transgressions will prosper,
but one who confesses and renounces them will obtain mercy. - If anyone is rich in worldly possessions
and sees a brother in need
but refuses to open his heart,
how can the love of God abide in him? - However, the one who looks intently at the perfect law of freedom and perseveres—not forgetting what he has heard but putting it into practice—will be blessed in everything he does.
- For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.
- For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it.
- For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the sake of the gospel will save it.
- Indeed, “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
- As Scripture asserts, “No one who believes in him will be put to shame.”
- Blessed is the one whose offense is forgiven,
whose sin is erased. - This must not be so with you. Instead, whoever wishes to be great among you must be your servant, and whoever wishes to be first among you must be your servant.
- God abides in anyone who acknowledges
that Jesus is the Son of God,
and that person abides in God. - Then it will come to pass
that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. - And said to them, “Whoever receives this child in my name receives me; and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me. For the one who is least among all of you is the one who is the greatest.”
- Everyone who sins breaks the law,
for sin is lawlessness. - Jesus replied,
“Amen, amen, I say to you,
everyone who sins
is a slave of sin.” - Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.
- Whoever denies the Son
does not have the Father,
but whoever acknowledges the Son
has the Father also. - Those of you who seek to be justified by the Law have cut yourselves off from Christ and have fallen away from grace.
- Therefore, whoever breaks even one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be considered least in the kingdom of heaven. But whoever observes these commandments and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
- All this knowledge comes from the Lord of hosts
whose counsel is wonderful
and whose wisdom is great.
To him all the Prophets bear witness that everyone who believes in him will receive forgiveness of sins through his name.A fool spurns his father’s correction,
but whoever heeds admonition is prudent. For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.Next verse! With image
