- He that hath no rule over his own spirit
is like a city that is broken down, and without walls. - All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
- Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.
- Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
- For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law.
- Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; Holding forth the word of life.
- And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
- But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
- But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
- Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
- Without counsel purposes are disappointed:
but in the multitude of counsellors they are established. - Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.
- Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
- For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
- Can one go upon hot coals,
and his feet not be burned? - If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
- Better is a little with righteousness
than great revenues without right. - For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.
- How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
- Surely the Lord God will do nothing,
but he revealeth his secret
unto his servants the prophets. - For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
- Let brotherly love continue. Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
- And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:
God was manifest in the flesh,
justified in the Spirit,
seen of angels,
preached unto the Gentiles,
believed on in the world,
received up into glory. - He is the Rock, his work is perfect:
for all his ways are judgment:
a God of truth and without iniquity,
just and right is he. - And he saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, it cannot defile him; Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats?
Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.He only is my rock and my salvation:
he is my defence; I shall not be moved.
