- A man without self-control
is like a city broken into and left without walls. - Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.
- For all who have sinned without the law will also perish without the law, and all who have sinned under the law will be judged by the law.
- Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.

A God of faithfulness and without iniquity,

- For godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret, whereas worldly grief produces death.

Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of godliness:
He was manifested in the flesh,
vindicated by the Spirit,
seen by angels,
proclaimed among the nations,
believed on in the world,
taken up in glory.Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope. Why are you cast down, O my soul,
and why are you in turmoil within me?
Hope in God; for I shall again praise him,
