- A man without self-control
is like a city broken into and left without walls. - All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.
- Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.
- Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.
- For all who have sinned without the law will also perish without the law, and all who have sinned under the law will be judged by the law.
- Do all things without grumbling or disputing, that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast to the word of life.
- Indeed, under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.
- And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
- Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, cast out demons. You received without paying; give without pay.
- For the Lord God does nothing
without revealing his secret
to his servants the prophets. - Without counsel plans fail,
but with many advisers they succeed. - If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.
- But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.
- Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
- For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.
- Knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot.
- Or can one walk on hot coals
and his feet not be scorched? - How much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from dead works to serve the living God.
- For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.
- Let brotherly love continue. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
- The Rock, his work is perfect,
for all his ways are justice.
A God of faithfulness and without iniquity,
just and upright is he. - Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good.
- And he said to them, “Then are you also without understanding? Do you not see that whatever goes into a person from outside cannot defile him, since it enters not his heart but his stomach, and is expelled?” (Thus he declared all foods clean.)
- Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of godliness:
He was manifested in the flesh,
vindicated by the Spirit,
seen by angels,
proclaimed among the nations,
believed on in the world,
taken up in glory. - I hasten and do not delay
to keep your commandments.
Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.”Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.
