Is like a city broken down, without walls. - Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord.

- He is the Rock, His work is perfect;

A God of truth and without injustice;
Righteous and upright is He. - Knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.
- Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.
- Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.
- How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
- Surely the Lord God does nothing,
Unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets. - Can one walk on hot coals,
And his feet not be seared? - For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse.
- Let brotherly love continue. Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels.
- And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:
God was manifested in the flesh,
Justified in the Spirit,
Seen by angels,
Preached among the Gentiles,
Believed on in the world,
Received up in glory. - Better is a little with righteousness,
Than vast revenues without justice. - For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
- So He said to them, “Are you thus without understanding also? Do you not perceive that whatever enters a man from outside cannot defile him, because it does not enter his heart but his stomach, and is eliminated, thus purifying all foods?”
- But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.
- Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.”
- I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.
- I made haste, and did not delay
To keep Your commandments. - In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
- Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
- Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
- For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death.
- The blessing of the Lord makes one rich,
And He adds no sorrow with it. - He covets greedily all day long,
But the righteous gives and does not spare. - Receive one who is weak in the faith, but not to disputes over doubtful things.
- So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth;
It shall not return to Me void,
But it shall accomplish what I please,
And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. - For there is not a just man on earth who does good
And does not sin. - To him who is afflicted, kindness should be shown by his friend,
Even though he forsakes the fear of the Almighty. - So Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.
- The young lions lack and suffer hunger;
But those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing. - Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
- So he was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights; he neither ate bread nor drank water. And He wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments.
- Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.
- You are all fair, my love,
And there is no spot in you. - Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, whoever you are who judge, for in whatever you judge another you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things.
- But He knows the way that I take;
When He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold.
My foot has held fast to His steps;
I have kept His way and not turned aside. - For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it?
- Because I delivered the poor who cried out,
The fatherless and the one who had no helper.
The blessing of a perishing man came upon me,
And I caused the widow’s heart to sing for joy.
