- In like manner also, that the women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing, but, which is proper for women professing godliness, with good works.
- These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.

But the rebellious dwell in a dry land. - Rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer.

- And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.
- For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive.
- Some trust in chariots, and some in horses;
But we will remember the name of the Lord our God. - Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.
- You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
- Therefore let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father.
- You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You. - By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.
- Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

For You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety. - Therefore whatever you have spoken in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have spoken in the ear in inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops.

And He knows those who trust in Him. - And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

I will not fear.
What can flesh do to me? - In You, O Lord, I put my trust;
Let me never be ashamed;
Deliver me in Your righteousness. - Blessed is the man
Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
Nor stands in the path of sinners,
Nor sits in the seat of the scornful. - If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.
- And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
“Then he cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.’ ” - And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye?
- For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand.
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
Than dwell in the tents of wickedness. - So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
- Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving.
- No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us.
- Preserve me, O God, for in You I put my trust.
