| Six days shall work be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation. | Because the sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil. | When the sentence for a crime is not quickly carried out, people’s hearts are filled with schemes to do wrong. |

Does the clay say to the potter, ‘What are you making?’ Does your work say, ‘The potter has no hands’? |
| But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does. | But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do. |
