Worship (3/4)

  • Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped, And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.
  • I will praise thee with uprightness of heart,
when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments.
  • For thou art my rock and my fortress;
therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me.
  • And in that day shall ye say,
Praise the Lord, call upon his name,
declare his doings among the people,
make mention that his name is exalted.
  • Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens:
and thy glory above all the earth.
  • Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
  • And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
  • And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
  • But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
  • Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
  • I will be glad and rejoice in thee:
I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.
  • Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
  • Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.
  • And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.
  • How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
  • Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
  • For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
  • As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.
  • And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
  • The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom:
a good understanding have all they that do his commandments:
    his praise endureth for ever.
  • I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers,
who hast given me wisdom and might,
and hast made known unto me now what we desired of thee:
for thou hast now made known unto us the king's matter.
  • I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live:
I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.
  • Teach me thy way, O Lord;
I will walk in thy truth:
unite my heart to fear thy name.
  • Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace, good will toward men.
  • But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear.

In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.

Why art thou cast down, O my soul?
and why art thou disquieted within me?
hope thou in God:
for I shall yet praise him,
who is the health of my countenance, and my God.
