Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting.

    Or how the bones grow in the womb of her who is with child,
    So you do not know the works of God who makes everything.
  • Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
  • For You formed my inward parts;
    You covered me in my mother’s womb.
    I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
    Marvelous are Your works,
    And that my soul knows very well.
  • By the word of the Lord the heavens were made,
    And all the host of them by the breath of His mouth.
  • There is also an antitype which now saves us—baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

    Be to Him who sits on the throne,
    And to the Lamb, forever and ever!”

  • I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
  • And if you say in your heart, ‘How shall we know the word which the Lord has not spoken?’— when a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the thing does not happen or come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him.

  • He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.
