- He answered, “Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.”
- Because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen. For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error. And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done.
- Arise, O Lord; O God, lift up your hand;
forget not the afflicted. - So God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it God rested from all his work that he had done in creation.

you knitted me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.

my soul knows it very well. - By the word of the Lord the heavens were made,
and by the breath of his mouth all their host. - Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.

- For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
- For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world.
- Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and give no opportunity to the devil.

be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!” - You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain.
