For it is by grace that you have been saved through faith… Ephesians 2:8-9

For it is by grace that you have been saved through faith. This has not come from you but from the gift of God. It does not come from works, so that no one can boast. God is not human, that he should lie, or the son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act, does he promise and then not fulfill it? Numbers 23:19	God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? God reliability promises
For the desires of the flesh are opposed to the Spirit, and those of the Spirit are opposed to the flesh. They are in conflict with one another, so that you cannot do what you want. You did not choose me. Rather, I chose you. And I appointed you to go out and bear fruit, fruit that will remain, so that the Father may give you whatever you ask him in my name. For the grace of God has appeared bringing salvation to the entire human race. It teaches us to reject godless ways and worldly desires, and in the present age to lead lives that are temperate, just, and godly. He answered, “Because you have such little faith. Hence, as sin’s reign resulted in death, so the grace of God also might reign through righteousness resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. If in speaking I use human tongues and angelic as well, but do not have love, I am nothing more than a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 1 Corinthians 13:1	Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. love speaking angels
For all of us fall short in many ways. Anyone who never makes a mistake in speech has reached perfection and is able to control every part of his body. James 3:2	For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body. blameless speaking body
This, in fact, is what you have been called to do, because Christ himself suffered for you and left an example for you to follow in his footsteps. 1 Peter 2:21	For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps. suffering following calling
He said to them in reply, “Anyone who has two coats must share with the person who has none, and whoever has food must do likewise.” Luke 3:11	He answered and said to them, “He who has two tunics, let him give to him who has none; and he who has food, let him do likewise.” materialism giving poverty
Do not repay evil with evil or abuse with abuse. On the contrary, repay with a blessing. This is what you were called to do, so that you might inherit a blessing. 1 Peter 3:9	Not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing. speaking blessing calling
If I give away everything to feed the poor and hand over my body to be burned, but do not have love, I achieve nothing. 1 Corinthians 13:3	And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing. love suffering giving
I am pulled in opposite directions. My desire is to depart and to be with Christ, for that is far better, but, it is a more urgent need for you that I remain in the body. Philippians 1:23-24	For I am hard-pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better. Nevertheless to remain in the flesh is more needful for you. death life
See what love the Father has bestowed on us, enabling us to be called the children of God, and that is what we are. If the world does not recognize us, that is because it did not know him. 1 John 3:1	Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! If I have the gift of prophecy and the ability to understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and have all the faith necessary to move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 1 Corinthians 13:2	And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. faith love prophecy
He is not here. He has been raised. Remember what he told you while he was still in Galilee: that the Son of Man must be handed over to sinners and be crucified and rise again on the third day. All this took place in order to fulfill what the Lord had announced through the prophet: “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and give birth to a son, and they shall name him Emmanuel,” a name that means “God is with us.” Matthew 1:22-23	So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.” prophecy miracles Jesus

For the love of Christ urges us forward, once we conclude that one has died for all, and therefore all have died. And he died for all, so that those who live might no longer live for themselves, but for him who for their sakes died and was raised to life.

For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.
