- Seek the Lord, all you humble of the land,
who do his commands;
seek righteousness, seek humility;
perhaps you may be hidden
on the day of the Lord's wrath. - My child, do not despise the Lord's discipline
or be weary of his reproof,

This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord

and his righteousness to children's children,
to those who keep his covenant
and remember to do his commandments. - You have the fringe so that, when you see it, you will remember all the commandments of the Lord and do them, and not follow the lust of your own heart and your own eyes.
- So now, O Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you? Only to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to keep the commandments of the Lord your God and his decrees that I am commanding you today, for your own well-being.
- You may say to yourself, “How can we recognize a word that the Lord has not spoken?” If a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord but the thing does not take place or prove true, it is a word that the Lord has not spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously; do not be frightened by it.
- He humbled you by letting you hunger, then by feeding you with manna, with which neither you nor your ancestors were acquainted, in order to make you understand that one does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.
- For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our ruler,
the Lord is our king; he will save us. - If you refrain from trampling the sabbath,
from pursuing your own interests on my holy day;
if you call the sabbath a delight
and the holy day of the Lord honorable;
if you honor it, not going your own ways,
serving your own interests, or pursuing your own affairs;
then you shall take delight in the Lord,
and I will make you ride upon the heights of the earth;
I will feed you with the heritage of your ancestor Jacob,
for the mouth of the Lord has spoken. - The Lord opens the eyes of the blind.
The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down;
the Lord loves the righteous. - Wait for the Lord;
be strong, and let your heart take courage;
wait for the Lord! - May the Lord give strength to his people!
May the Lord bless his people with peace! - Return to me, says the Lord of hosts, and I will return to you, says the Lord of hosts.
- And the Lord will become king over all the earth; on that day the Lord will be one and his name one.
- Hear, O Israel: The Lord is our God, the Lord alone. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might.
- The Lord bless you and keep you;
the Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you;
the Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace. - Make me to know your ways, O Lord;
teach me your paths. - And the Lord restored the fortunes of Job when he had prayed for his friends; and the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.
- The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to keep still.
- I wait for the Lord, my soul waits,
and in his word I hope.
