- I, even I, am he that comforteth you:
who art thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die,
and of the son of man which shall be made as grass. - Wherefore thou art great, O Lord God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.
- The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit:
a broken and a contrite heart,
O God, thou wilt not despise. - But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.

are faithfulness and truth. - The Lord is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.
- The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
- Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.
- Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

- The liberal soul shall be made fat:
and he that watereth shall be watered also himself. - Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

that he may have mercy upon you:
for the Lord is a God of judgment:
blessed are all they that wait for him. - For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive;
and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee. - O God, thou art my God;
early will I seek thee:
my soul thirsteth for thee,
my flesh longeth for thee
in a dry and thirsty land,
where no water is. - Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.
- The desire of a man is his kindness:
and a poor man is better than a liar. - A merry heart doeth good like a medicine:
but a broken spirit drieth the bones. - Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
- But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled.
- Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
- And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.
- Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil.
- One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
- How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days.
