- And it shall be a tassel for you to look at and remember all the commandments of the Lord, to do them, not to follow after your own heart and your own eyes, which you are inclined to whore after.
- Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

“Stand by the roads, and look,
and ask for the ancient paths,
where the good way is; and walk in it,
and find rest for your souls.
But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’” - “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be dominated by anything.
- Say not, “Why were the former days better than these?”
For it is not from wisdom that you ask this. - And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.
- Therefore you have no excuse, O man, every one of you who judges. For in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, practice the very same things.
- And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.

- But the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in him.
- For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive.
- Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one.
- But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back for yourself part of the proceeds of the land? While it remained unsold, did it not remain your own? And after it was sold, was it not at your disposal? Why is it that you have contrived this deed in your heart? You have not lied to man but to God.”
- My lips will shout for joy,
when I sing praises to you;
my soul also, which you have redeemed. - And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.”
- Therefore the Lord waits to be gracious to you,
and therefore he exalts himself to show mercy to you.
For the Lord is a God of justice;
blessed are all those who wait for him. - Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints.
- And he answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.”
- Ponder the path of your feet;
then all your ways will be sure. - And God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food.”
- Be strong, and let your heart take courage,
all you who wait for the Lord! - For it has been granted to you that for the sake of Christ you should not only believe in him but also suffer for his sake.
- For the love of Christ controls us, because we have concluded this: that one has died for all, therefore all have died; and he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised.
- Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you all.
- No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.
