- He that hideth hatred with lying lips,
and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool. - Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
- Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him. Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the Lord.
- Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
- He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
- But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
- Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
- To him that is afflicted pity should be shewed from his friend;
but he forsaketh the fear of the Almighty. - He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
- And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
- Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.
- Withhold not good from them to whom it is due,
when it is in the power of thine hand to do it. - And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.
- And said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this child in my name receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me receiveth him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great.
- He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction:
but he that refuseth reproof erreth. - He that walketh uprightly walketh surely:
but he that perverteth his ways shall be known. - Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock.
- Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
- As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.
- Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
- And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. I and my Father are one.
- Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
- For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.
- He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
- And it shall be, when he shall be guilty in one of these things, that he shall confess that he hath sinned in that thing.
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment.
