Believe in your self (2/4)

  • In contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against such things.
  • Guide me in your truth and instruct me,
    for you are God, my Savior,
    and in you I hope all the day long.
  • Teach me your ways, O Lord,
    so that I may walk in your truth;
    let me worship your name
    with an undivided heart.
  • Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved; whoever does not believe will be condemned.
  • O Lord, hear my prayer,
    incline your ear to my supplications.
    In your faithfulness respond to me
    with your righteousness.
  • Do not withhold kindness from anyone to whom it is due
    when it is in your power to grant it.
  • But according to Scripture all things have been confined under sin, so that through faith in Jesus Christ what was promised might be given to those who believe.
  • Jesus then said to her,
    “I am the resurrection and the life.
    Whoever believes in me,
    even though he dies, will live,
    and everyone who lives
    and believes in me
    will never die.
    Do you believe this?”
  • As for me, I trust in your kindness;
    my heart rejoices in your salvation.
    I will sing to the Lord
    because he has been good to me.
  • Therefore, we do not lose heart. Even though our outer self is continuing to decay, our inner self is being renewed day by day.
  • You will show me the path to life;
    you will fill me with joy in your presence
    and everlasting delights at your right hand.
  • Then Jesus said to him,
    “You have come to believe
    because you have seen me.
    Blessed are those who have not seen
    and yet have come to believe.”
  • Everyone who seeks a prize submits himself to rigorous self-discipline in every respect. They do so to win a perishable crown, while we seek an imperishable one.
  • Wealth and honor are from you,
    you reign over all.
    In your hand are power and might;
    it to is in your hand make great and to give strength to all.
  • But without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever comes to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
  • Do not deprive one another, except perhaps by mutual consent for a specified time so as to devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan may not tempt you by taking advantage of your lack of self-control.
  • Let the words of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart
    find favor in your sight,
    O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.
  • Then Jesus said to those Jews who did believe in him,
    “If you remain faithful to my word,
    you will truly be my disciples.
    You will know the truth,
    and the truth will set you free.”
  • It is better to spend one day in your courts
    than a thousand elsewhere.
    I would rather be a doorkeeper in God’s house
    than dwell inside the tents of the wicked.
  • When Jesus heard this, he said, “Do not be afraid. Just have faith, and she will be saved.”
  • Let no one regard you with contempt because of your youth, but serve as an example to the believers in your speech and conduct, in your love, your faith, and your purity.
  • Do not seek to adorn yourself externally—by the braiding of your hair and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothing. Rather, let your adornment be of your inner self, the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God.
  • For God did not give us a spirit of timidity but rather a spirit of power and of love and of wisdom.
  • The Lord then said, “Very well. All that he has is in your power. However, you may not lay a hand upon him.” So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord.
  • Rather, revere Christ as Lord in your hearts.
    Always be prepared to offer an explanation to anyone who asks you to justify the hope that is in you. However, do so with gentleness and respect.

So if anyone says to you, ‘Behold, he is in the wilderness,’ do not go out there. If they say, ‘Behold, he is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. For just as lightning comes from the east and is visible even in the west, so will the coming of the Son of Man be.
