- When Jesus heard this, he replied, “Do not fear. Only believe, and she will be saved.”

give me an undivided heart to revere your name. - Athletes exercise self-control in all things; they do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable one.
- But the scripture has imprisoned all things under the power of sin, so that what was promised through faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.
- For God did not give us a spirit of cowardice, but rather a spirit of power and of love and of self-discipline.
- The one who believes and is baptized will be saved; but the one who does not believe will be condemned.
- Know then in your heart that as a parent disciplines a child so the Lord your God disciplines you.
- For a thousand years in your sight
are like yesterday when it is past,
or like a watch in the night. - So we have known and believe the love that God has for us.
God is love, and those who abide in love abide in God, and God abides in them. - You show me the path of life.
In your presence there is fullness of joy;
in your right hand are pleasures forevermore. - But I trusted in your steadfast love;
my heart shall rejoice in your salvation.
I will sing to the Lord,
because he has dealt bountifully with me. - Do not deprive one another except perhaps by agreement for a set time, to devote yourselves to prayer, and then come together again, so that Satan may not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.
- Nevertheless, in your great mercies you did not make an end of them or forsake them, for you are a gracious and merciful God.
- For a day in your courts is better
than a thousand elsewhere.
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
than live in the tents of wickedness. - Riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all. In your hand are power and might; and it is in your hand to make great and to give strength to all.
- And without faith it is impossible to please God, for whoever would approach him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
- So that by God's will I may come to you with joy and be refreshed in your company.
- By contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against such things.
- Do not be wise in your own eyes;
fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.
It will be a healing for your flesh
and a refreshment for your body. - Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God; for many false prophets have gone out into the world.
- But in your hearts sanctify Christ as Lord. Always be ready to make your defense to anyone who demands from you an accounting for the hope that is in you.
