Chinese (traditional)Bible Verses about 'Better&p=2'
- It is better to trust in the Lord
than to put confidence in man. - But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.
- Better is a little with righteousness
than great revenues without right. - The desire of a man is his kindness:
and a poor man is better than a liar. - Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.
- Better is little with the fear of the Lord
than great treasure and trouble therewith. - How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days.
- How much better is it to get wisdom than gold!
and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver! - He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty;
and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city. - Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
- Say not thou, What is the cause that the former days were better than these? for thou dost not enquire wisely concerning this.
- For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand.
I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God,
than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. - Because thy lovingkindness is better than life,
my lips shall praise thee.
Thus will I bless thee while I live:
I will lift up my hands in thy name. - Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?
- A little that a righteous man hath
is better than the riches of many wicked.
For the arms of the wicked shall be broken:
but the Lord upholdeth the righteous. - Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
- For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.
- Thine own friend, and thy father's friend, forsake not;
neither go into thy brother's house in the day of thy calamity:
for better is a neighbour that is near than a brother far off.
Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things. I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills,
from whence cometh my help.
My help cometh from the Lord,
which made heaven and earth.Next verse!With image
