Chinese (traditional)Bible Verses about 'Discipline'
- I reprove and discipline those whom I love. Be earnest, therefore, and repent.
- Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge,
but those who hate to be rebuked are stupid. - How happy is the one whom God reproves;
therefore do not despise the discipline of the Almighty. - And, fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
- My child, do not despise the Lord's discipline
or be weary of his reproof,
for the Lord reproves the one he loves,
as a father the son in whom he delights. - For God did not give us a spirit of cowardice, but rather a spirit of power and of love and of self-discipline.
- Now, discipline always seems painful rather than pleasant at the time, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
- Know then in your heart that as a parent disciplines a child so the Lord your God disciplines you.
- The end of all things is near; therefore be serious and discipline yourselves for the sake of your prayers.
- But I punish my body and enslave it, so that after proclaiming to others I myself should not be disqualified.
- Discipline yourselves, keep alert. Like a roaring lion your adversary the devil prowls around, looking for someone to devour.
- A fool despises a parent's instruction,
but the one who heeds admonition is prudent. - Therefore prepare your minds for action; discipline yourselves; set all your hope on the grace that Jesus Christ will bring you when he is revealed.
- Whoever heeds instruction is on the path to life,
but one who rejects a rebuke goes astray. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge;
fools despise wisdom and instruction. - Athletes exercise self-control in all things; they do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable one.
For if they fall, one will lift up the other; but woe to one who is alone and falls and does not have another to help. Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.Next verse!With image
