- For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
- For this is the message that you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
- Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. - My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart
and my portion forever. - Behold, blessed is the one whom God reproves;
therefore despise not the discipline of the Almighty. - Blessed is the one who finds wisdom,
and the one who gets understanding. - For you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.
- Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ.
- Honor the Lord with your wealth
and with the firstfruits of all your produce. - He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world.
- We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing.
- This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
- So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
- And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
- And we are witnesses to these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.
- Grandchildren are the crown of the aged,
and the glory of children is their fathers. - And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood.”
- For we walk by faith, not by sight.
- So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
- For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
- The Lord is my light and my salvation;
whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life;
of whom shall I be afraid? - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;
all those who practice it have a good understanding.
His praise endures forever! - Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.
- So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
- And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent.
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.O Lord, all my longing is before you;
my sighing is not hidden from you. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.Next verse!With image
