- Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.
- This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.”
- For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow.
- So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ.
- Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
- For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power.
- Who is the King of glory?
The Lord of Heaven’s Armies—
he is the King of glory. - Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.
- Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong.
- Accept other believers who are weak in faith, and don’t argue with them about what they think is right or wrong.
- This is the day the Lord has made.
We will rejoice and be glad in it. - For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
- So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless.
- For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith.
- All who declare that Jesus is the Son of God have God living in them, and they live in God.
- Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
- And who can win this battle against the world? Only those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God.
- Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise!
No one can measure his greatness. - Dear brothers and sisters, we can’t help but thank God for you, because your faith is flourishing and your love for one another is growing.
- What joy for the nation whose God is the Lord,
whose people he has chosen as his inheritance. - For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows.
- The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it.
The world and all its people belong to him. - Fear of the Lord is the foundation of wisdom.
Knowledge of the Holy One results in good judgment. - Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true knowledge,
but fools despise wisdom and discipline. - Joyful is the person who finds wisdom,
the one who gains understanding.
Jesus told them, “This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the one he has sent.”The second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these. Even when I walk
through the darkest valley,
I will not be afraid,
for you are close beside me.
Your rod and your staff
protect and comfort me.Next verse! With image
