Bible Verses about 'Fall'
- Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction.
- Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience.
- For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.
- The wise in heart accept commands,
but a chattering fool comes to ruin. - Let my teaching fall like rain
and my words descend like dew,
like showers on new grass,
like abundant rain on tender plants. - If either of them falls down,
one can help the other up.
But pity anyone who falls
and has no one to help them up. - The grass withers and the flowers fall,
but the word of our God endures forever. - Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To their own master, servants stand or fall. And they will stand, for the Lord is able to make them stand.
- Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
- Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.
- Above all, my brothers and sisters, do not swear—not by heaven or by earth or by anything else. All you need to say is a simple “Yes” or “No.” Otherwise you will be condemned.
- So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober.
- Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in the way of a brother or sister.
- The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.”
- ‘Return, faithless Israel,’ declares the Lord,
‘I will frown on you no longer,
for I am faithful,’ declares the Lord,
‘I will not be angry forever.’ - He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber. - Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble, and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
- I keep my eyes always on the Lord.
With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken. - Who is wise? Let them realize these things.
Who is discerning? Let them understand.
The ways of the Lord are right;
the righteous walk in them,
but the rebellious stumble in them. - Cast your cares on the Lord
and he will sustain you;
he will never let
the righteous be shaken. - See to it, brothers and sisters, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God.
- We all stumble in many ways. Anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect, able to keep their whole body in check.
- Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted.
- For the practices of the peoples are worthless;
they cut a tree out of the forest,
and a craftsman shapes it with his chisel.
They adorn it with silver and gold;
they fasten it with hammer and nails
so it will not totter.
Like a scarecrow in a cucumber field,
their idols cannot speak;
they must be carried
because they cannot walk.
Do not fear them;
they can do no harm
nor can they do any good.
Worship the Lord your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you.
