- God blesses those who hunger and thirst for justice,
for they will be satisfied. - Better to have little, with godliness,
than to be rich and dishonest. - Show me the right path, O Lord;

- God places the lonely in families;
he sets the prisoners free and gives them joy.
But he makes the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land. - Hear my prayer, O Lord;
listen to my plea!
Answer me because you are faithful and righteous. - Walk with the wise and become wise;
associate with fools and get in trouble. - Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness?
- My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
- So we can say with confidence,
“The Lord is my helper,
so I will have no fear.
What can mere people do to me?” - Listen, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord alone. And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength.
- Better to have little, with fear for the Lord,
than to have great treasure and inner turmoil. - That is why I can never stop praising you;
I declare your glory all day long. - May the grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s holy people.
- May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.
- Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth.
- I have tried hard to find you—
don’t let me wander from your commands. - May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.
- Don’t you realize that I could ask my Father for thousands of angels to protect us, and he would send them instantly?
- The Lord will stay with you as long as you stay with him! Whenever you seek him, you will find him. But if you abandon him, he will abandon you.
- Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone.
- They all met together and were constantly united in prayer, along with Mary the mother of Jesus, several other women, and the brothers of Jesus.
- The Lord is for me, so I will have no fear.
What can mere people do to me? - For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, the believers who have died will rise from their graves. Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever.
- In view of all this, make every effort to respond to God’s promises. Supplement your faith with a generous provision of moral excellence, and moral excellence with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with patient endurance, and patient endurance with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love for everyone.
