- About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.
- The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous
and his ears toward their cry. - So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.
- Salvation belongs to the Lord;
your blessing be on your people! Selah - Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.
- So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
- The way of the Lord is a stronghold to the blameless,
but destruction to evildoers. - For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's.
- The rich rules over the poor,
and the borrower is the slave of the lender. - For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
and his ears are open to their prayer.
But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. - If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church. And if he refuses to listen even to the church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector.
- And we are witnesses to these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.
- Jesus said to him, “If you would be perfect, go, sell what you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.”
- Heal the sick in it and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’
- Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord,
but those who act faithfully are his delight. - Likewise, husbands, live with your wives in an understanding way, showing honor to the woman as the weaker vessel, since they are heirs with you of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered.
- Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and give no opportunity to the devil.
- And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.
- And he sat down and called the twelve. And he said to them, “If anyone would be first, he must be last of all and servant of all.”
- Take with you words
and return to the Lord;
say to him,
“Take away all iniquity;
accept what is good,
and we will pay with bulls
the vows of our lips.” - And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he gave it to them, saying, “Drink of it, all of you, for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.”
- He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
- In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace.
- For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh.
- I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them.
