Chinese (traditional)- O taste and see that the Lord is good:
blessed is the man that trusteth in him. - O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good;
for his mercy endureth for ever. - Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
- Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment,
and equity; yea, every good path. - Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil.
- The Lord is good,
a strong hold in the day of trouble;
and he knoweth them that trust in him. - A merry heart doeth good like a medicine:
but a broken spirit drieth the bones. - Behold, how good and how pleasant it is
for brethren to dwell together in unity! - The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger:
but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing. - Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing,
and obtaineth favour of the Lord. - Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.
- For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.
- O my soul, thou hast said unto the Lord, Thou art my Lord:
my goodness extendeth not to thee. - Withhold not good from them to whom it is due,
when it is in the power of thine hand to do it. - And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's, But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.
- For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive;
and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee. - And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
- Seek good, and not evil,
that ye may live:
and so the Lord, the God of hosts, shall be with you,
as ye have spoken. - A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches,
and loving favour rather than silver and gold. - For he satisfieth the longing soul,
and filleth the hungry soul with goodness. - Let no man seek his own, but every man another's wealth.
- Teach me to do thy will;
for thou art my God:
thy spirit is good;
lead me into the land of uprightness. - Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.
- Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop:
but a good word maketh it glad. - A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth:
and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!
As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word.Next verse!With image
