- So God created mankind in his own image,
in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them. - Blessed are the pure in heart,
for they will see God. - And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
- If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for God’s temple is sacred, and you together are that temple.
- Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.
- Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God.
- When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone.
- Our God is in heaven;
he does whatever pleases him. - But I have been the Lord your God
ever since you came out of Egypt.
You shall acknowledge no God but me,
no Savior except me. - These are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.
- No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.
- Yes, my soul, find rest in God;
my hope comes from him. - Surely God is my help;
the Lord is the one who sustains me. - To our God and Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
- And because the midwives feared God, he gave them families of their own.
- Truly my soul finds rest in God;
my salvation comes from him. - For you, God, tested us;
you refined us like silver. - I desire to do your will, my God;
your law is within my heart. - Why, my soul, are you downcast?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
my Savior and my God. - Arise, Lord! Lift up your hand, O God.
Do not forget the helpless. - God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble. - There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his.
- May God bless us still,
so that all the ends of the earth will fear him. - You, God, are my God,
earnestly I seek you;
I thirst for you,
my whole being longs for you,
in a dry and parched land
where there is no water. - Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God.
A mediator, however, implies more than one party; but God is one.And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.Next verse!With image
