- Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word.
- Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior.
- How much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from dead works to serve the living God.
- And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

- A man's gift makes room for him
and brings him before the great. - The Lord is near to all who call on him,

Does the clay say to him who forms it, ‘What are you making?’
or ‘Your work has no handles’? - Anxiety in a man's heart weighs him down,
but a good word makes him glad. - What is man that you are mindful of him,
and the son of man that you care for him? - This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him
and saved him out of all his troubles. - All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.
- I will greatly rejoice in the Lord;
my soul shall exult in my God,
for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation;
he has covered me with the robe of righteousness,
as a bridegroom decks himself like a priest with a beautiful headdress,
and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. - The saying is trustworthy, for:
If we have died with him,
we will also live with him. - The Lord is with you while you are with him. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will forsake you.
- The words of a wise man's mouth win him favor,
but the lips of a fool consume him. - You shall walk after the Lord your God and fear him and keep his commandments and obey his voice, and you shall serve him and hold fast to him.
- If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.
- For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.
- Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him, and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of him. Even so. Amen.
- Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.”
- Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
