- And this is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.

for the first things have passed away.” - For if you truly amend your ways and your doings, if you truly act justly one with another, if you do not oppress the alien, the orphan, and the widow, or shed innocent blood in this place, and if you do not go after other gods to your own hurt, then I will dwell with you in this place, in the land that I gave of old to your ancestors forever and ever.
- By day the Lord commands his steadfast love,
and at night his song is with me,
a prayer to the God of my life. - If you sow to your own flesh, you will reap corruption from the flesh; but if you sow to the Spirit, you will reap eternal life from the Spirit.
- The Lord is my light and my salvation;
whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life;
of whom shall I be afraid? - Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me, even though they die, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?”
- For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life.
- Go, gather all the Jews to be found in Susa, and hold a fast on my behalf, and neither eat nor drink for three days, night or day. I and my maids will also fast as you do. After that I will go to the king, though it is against the law; and if I perish, I perish.

- But surely, God is my helper;

- But now that you have been freed from sin and enslaved to God, the advantage you get is sanctification. The end is eternal life.
- Indeed, all who want to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.
- For what will it profit them if they gain the whole world but forfeit their life? Or what will they give in return for their life?
