Chinese (traditional)Bible Verses about 'Light'
- And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
- For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light.
- For thou wilt light my candle:
the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness. - Thy word is a lamp unto my feet,
and a light unto my path. - Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
- But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
- And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
- Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
- The entrance of thy words giveth light;
it giveth understanding unto the simple. - Arise, shine; for thy light is come,
and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. - Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
- He revealeth the deep and secret things:
he knoweth what is in the darkness,
and the light dwelleth with him. - But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
- This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
- The Lord is my light and my salvation;
whom shall I fear?
the Lord is the strength of my life;
of whom shall I be afraid? - For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.
- For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.
- No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light.
- Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
- For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth.
- Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
- For they got not the land in possession by their own sword,
neither did their own arm save them:
but thy right hand, and thine arm,
and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them. - But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.
- Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.
- Commit thy way unto the Lord;
trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light,
and thy judgment as the noonday.
Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come: That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
