| And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ | And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. |
| But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. | But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you. |

| Great peace have those who love your law, and nothing can make them stumble. | Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them. |

| Like a city whose walls are broken through is a person who lacks self-control. | He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls. |
| Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word. | Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word. |

Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. | Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. | For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. |
