- You shall keep my Sabbaths and reverence my sanctuary: I am the Lord.
- I cried to him with my mouth,
and high praise was on my tongue. - If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love.
- I acknowledged my sin to you,
and I did not cover my iniquity;
I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,”
and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah - The Lord is my light and my salvation;
whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life;
of whom shall I be afraid? - For when I kept silent, my bones wasted away
through my groaning all day long. - Behold, God is my helper;
the Lord is the upholder of my life. - And behold, a voice from heaven said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.”
- But you, O Lord, are a shield about me,
my glory, and the lifter of my head. - “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,
“therefore I will hope in him.” - Why are you cast down, O my soul,
and why are you in turmoil within me?
Hope in God; for I shall again praise him,
my salvation and my God. - By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples.
- For you are my rock and my fortress;
and for your name's sake you lead me and guide me. - My times are in your hand;
rescue me from the hand of my enemies
and from my persecutors! - For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. - I lift up my eyes to the hills.
From where does my help come?
My help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth. - Hear, my son, and accept my words,
that the years of your life may be many. - If you love me, you will keep my commandments.
- I stretch out my hands to you;
my soul thirsts for you like a parched land. Selah - God, the Lord, is my strength;
he makes my feet like the deer's;
he makes me tread on my high places. - But as for me, I will look to the Lord;
I will wait for the God of my salvation;
my God will hear me. - O God, you are my God;
earnestly I seek you;
my soul thirsts for you;
my flesh faints for you,
as in a dry and weary land
where there is no water. - Because your steadfast love is better than life,
my lips will praise you.
So I will bless you as long as I live;
in your name I will lift up my hands. - My son, do not forget my teaching,
but let your heart keep my commandments,
for length of days and years of life
and peace they will add to you. - My son, be attentive to my words;
incline your ear to my sayings.
Let them not escape from your sight;
keep them within your heart.
Hear my prayer, O Lord;
give ear to my pleas for mercy!
In your faithfulness answer me, in your righteousness!All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet: “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us). Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,
whose trust is the Lord.
He is like a tree planted by water,
that sends out its roots by the stream,
and does not fear when heat comes,
for its leaves remain green,
and is not anxious in the year of drought,
for it does not cease to bear fruit.Next verse!With image
