- I sought the Lord, and he answered me,
and delivered me from all my fears. - For it was you who formed my inward parts;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works;
that I know very well. - But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.” So, I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.
- You then, my child, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
- Because your steadfast love is better than life,
my lips will praise you.
So I will bless you as long as I live;
I will lift up my hands and call on your name. - I will extol you, my God and King,
and bless your name forever and ever. - If I give away all my possessions, and if I hand over my body so that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.
- I have no greater joy than this, to hear that my children are walking in the truth.
- When I thought, “My foot is slipping,”
your steadfast love, O Lord, held me up. - They who have my commandments and keep them are those who love me; and those who love me will be loved by my Father, and I will love them and reveal myself to them.
- My mouth is filled with your praise,
and with your glory all day long. - Even before a word is on my tongue,
O Lord, you know it completely. - I have made a covenant with my eyes;
how then could I look upon a virgin? - For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them.
- I treasure your word in my heart,
so that I may not sin against you. - O Lord, you have searched me and known me.
You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
you discern my thoughts from far away. - So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth;
it shall not return to me empty,
but it shall accomplish that which I purpose,
and succeed in the thing for which I sent it. - Then Jesus said to the Jews who had believed in him, “If you continue in my word, you are truly my disciples; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”
- Keep my steps steady according to your promise,
and never let iniquity have dominion over me. - For I know that my Redeemer lives,
and that at the last he will stand upon the earth. - My child, keep your father's commandment,
and do not forsake your mother's teaching. - By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.
- Get wisdom; get insight: do not forget, nor turn away
from the words of my mouth. - With my whole heart I seek you;
do not let me stray from your commandments. - I will bless the Lord at all times;
his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to keep still. They answered, “Believe on the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.”Next verse!With image
