Bible Verses about 'Neighbour'

  • You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, or male or female slave, or ox, or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.
  • Each of us must please our neighbor for the good purpose of building up the neighbor.
  • And a second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
  • Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore, love is the fulfilling of the law.
  • For the whole law is summed up in a single commandment, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
  • With their mouths the godless would destroy their neighbors,
    but by knowledge the righteous are delivered.
  • Those who walk blamelessly, and do what is right,
    and speak the truth from their heart;
    who do not slander with their tongue,
    and do no evil to their friends,
    nor take up a reproach against their neighbors.
  • The second is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.
  • You shall not hate in your heart anyone of your kin; you shall reprove your neighbor, or you will incur guilt yourself. You shall not take vengeance or bear a grudge against any of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord.
  • He answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.”
  • Then I saw that all toil and all skill in work come from one person's envy of another. This also is vanity and a chasing after wind.
  • Do not forsake your friend or the friend of your parent;
    do not go to the house of your kindred in the day of your calamity.
    Better is a neighbor who is nearby
    than kindred who are far away.
  • You shall not murder; You shall not commit adultery; You shall not steal; You shall not bear false witness; Honor your father and mother; also, You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
  • And ‘to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the strength,’ and ‘to love one's neighbor as oneself,’—this is much more important than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
  • The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery; You shall not murder; You shall not steal; You shall not covet”; and any other commandment, are summed up in this word, “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
  • For if you truly amend your ways and your doings, if you truly act justly one with another, if you do not oppress the alien, the orphan, and the widow, or shed innocent blood in this place, and if you do not go after other gods to your own hurt, then I will dwell with you in this place, in the land that I gave of old to your ancestors forever and ever.
  • Why do you see the speck in your neighbor's eye, but do not notice the log in your own eye?
  • There is one lawgiver and judge who is able to save and to destroy. So who, then, are you to judge your neighbor?

Bible verse of the day

And let the one who believes in me drink. As the scripture has said, ‘Out of the believer's heart shall flow rivers of living water.’

There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear; for fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not reached perfection in love.Next verse!With image
