- Hence, as to the eating of food offered to idols, we know that “no idol in the world really exists,” and that “there is no God but one.”
- No one who conceals transgressions will prosper,
but one who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy. - Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly; do not claim to be wiser than you are.
- Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.

that will I seek after:
to live in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to behold the beauty of the Lord,
and to inquire in his temple. - No one after lighting a lamp hides it under a jar, or puts it under a bed, but puts it on a lampstand, so that those who enter may see the light.
- Let us therefore no longer pass judgment on one another, but resolve instead never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of another.
- But if we walk in the light as he himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.
- Jesus said to him, “If you are able!—All things can be done for the one who believes.”
- Who is it that conquers the world but the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
- Above all, maintain constant love for one another, for love covers a multitude of sins.
- There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among mortals by which we must be saved.
- If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away; it is better for you to lose one of your members than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.
- Welcome those who are weak in faith, but not for the purpose of quarreling over opinions.
