- A man's heart deviseth his way:
but the Lord directeth his steps. - Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil:
but to the counsellors of peace is joy. - For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
- Without counsel purposes are disappointed:
but in the multitude of counsellors they are established. - Commit thy works unto the Lord,
and thy thoughts shall be established. - There are many devices in a man's heart;
nevertheless the counsel of the Lord, that shall stand. - Surely the Lord God will do nothing,
but he revealeth his secret
unto his servants the prophets. - Grant thee according to thine own heart,
and fulfil all thy counsel. - Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord,
and whose hope the Lord is.
For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters,
and that spreadeth out her roots by the river,
and shall not see when heat cometh,
but her leaf shall be green;
and shall not be careful in the year of drought,
neither shall cease from yielding fruit. - O Lord, thou art my God;
I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name;
for thou hast done wonderful things;
thy counsels of old
are faithfulness and truth. - The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me:
thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever:
forsake not the works of thine own hands. - And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
- This also cometh forth from the Lord of hosts,
which is wonderful in counsel,
and excellent in working. - And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
- Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things. But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.
- Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
- That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ.
- But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
- My doctrine shall drop as the rain,
my speech shall distil as the dew,
as the small rain upon the tender herb,
and as the showers upon the grass. - Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began.
- For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
- A froward man soweth strife:
and a whisperer separateth chief friends. - Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment, and shew mercy and compassions every man to his brother: And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart.
- For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
- And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not. Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.Next verse!With image
