Power of prayer (3/4)

  • Every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labour; this is the gift of God.
  • Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
  • Thine, O Lord is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all.
  • And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.
  • Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
  • Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.
  • And lead us not into temptation,
    but deliver us from evil:
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
  • A little that a righteous man hath
is better than the riches of many wicked.
For the arms of the wicked shall be broken:
but the Lord upholdeth the righteous.
  • I cried unto him with my mouth,
and he was extolled with my tongue.
  • And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.
  • I stretch forth my hands unto thee:
my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land. Selah.
  • But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land? Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.
  • And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.
  • Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.
  • I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
  • My times are in thy hand:
deliver me from the hand of mine enemies,
and from them that persecute me.
  • Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O Lord.
    Lord, hear my voice:
    let thine ears be attentive
to the voice of my supplications.
  • Ye that love the Lord, hate evil:
    he preserveth the souls of his saints;
he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.
  • That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love.
  • There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
  • But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
  • I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers,
who hast given me wisdom and might,
and hast made known unto me now what we desired of thee:
for thou hast now made known unto us the king's matter.
  • I love the Lord, because he hath heard
    my voice and my supplications.
Because he hath inclined his ear unto me,
therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.
  • Because thy lovingkindness is better than life,
    my lips shall praise thee.
Thus will I bless thee while I live:
I will lift up my hands in thy name.
  • And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
