Power of prayer (3/4)

  • Now to him who by the power at work within us is able to accomplish abundantly far more than all we can ask or imagine, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
  • I pray that, according to the riches of his glory, he may grant that you may be strengthened in your inner being with power through his Spirit, and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, as you are being rooted and grounded in love.
  • For I know that through your prayers and the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ this will turn out for my deliverance.
  • For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily, and you have come to fullness in him, who is the head of every ruler and authority.
  • Better is a little that the righteous person has
    than the abundance of many wicked.
    For the arms of the wicked shall be broken,
    but the Lord upholds the righteous.
  • I cried aloud to him,
    and he was extolled with my tongue.
  • When they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God with boldness.
  • He is the reflection of God's glory and the exact imprint of God's very being, and he sustains all things by his powerful word. When he had made purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.
  • I stretch out my hands to you;
    my soul thirsts for you like a parched land. Selah
  • Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, so that he may exalt you in due time.
  • I am not asking you to take them out of the world, but I ask you to protect them from the evil one.
  • My times are in your hand;
    deliver me from the hand of my enemies and persecutors.
  • Likewise all to whom God gives wealth and possessions and whom he enables to enjoy them, and to accept their lot and find enjoyment in their toil—this is the gift of God.
  • Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord.
    Lord, hear my voice!
    Let your ears be attentive
    to the voice of my supplications!
  • And do not bring us to the time of trial,
    but rescue us from the evil one.
  • The Lord loves those who hate evil;
    he guards the lives of his faithful;
    he rescues them from the hand of the wicked.
  • But I will sing of your might;
    I will sing aloud of your steadfast love in the morning.
    For you have been a fortress for me
    and a refuge in the day of my distress.
  • O Lord, in the morning you hear my voice;
    in the morning I plead my case to you, and watch.
  • There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.
  • But now that you have been freed from sin and enslaved to God, the advantage you get is sanctification. The end is eternal life.
  • I love the Lord, because he has heard
    my voice and my supplications.
    Because he inclined his ear to me,
    therefore I will call on him as long as I live.
  • Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, singing,
    “To the one seated on the throne and to the Lamb
    be blessing and honor and glory and might
    forever and ever!”
  • Because your steadfast love is better than life,
    my lips will praise you.
    So I will bless you as long as I live;
    I will lift up my hands and call on your name.
  • Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone; so that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.
  • The husband should give to his wife her conjugal rights, and likewise the wife to her husband. For the wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does; likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does.

Now the birth of Jesus the Messiah took place in this way. When his mother Mary had been engaged to Joseph, but before they lived together, she was found to be with child from the Holy Spirit.
