Chinese (traditional)- A soft answer turneth away wrath:
but grievous words stir up anger. - A friend loveth at all times,
and a brother is born for adversity. - A man's gift maketh room for him,
and bringeth him before great men. - By humility and the fear of the Lord
are riches, and honour, and life. - A fool's wrath is presently known:
but a prudent man covereth shame. - A faithful witness will not lie:
but a false witness will utter lies. - Only by pride cometh contention:
but with the well advised is wisdom. - Righteousness exalteth a nation:
but sin is a reproach to any people. - Commit thy works unto the Lord,
and thy thoughts shall be established. - He keepeth the paths of judgment,
and preserveth the way of his saints. - Turn not to the right hand nor to the left:
remove thy foot from evil. - For whoso findeth me findeth life,
and shall obtain favour of the Lord. - A froward man soweth strife:
and a whisperer separateth chief friends. - A fool's lips enter into contention,
and his mouth calleth for strokes. - Excellent speech becometh not a fool:
much less do lying lips a prince. - The memory of the just is blessed:
but the name of the wicked shall rot. - Keep thy heart with all diligence;
for out of it are the issues of life. - I have taught thee in the way of wisdom;
I have led thee in right paths. - Put away from thee a froward mouth,
and perverse lips put far from thee. - Iron sharpeneth iron;
so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend. - The rich ruleth over the poor,
and the borrower is servant to the lender. - Better is a little with righteousness
than great revenues without right. - To do justice and judgment
is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. - The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich,
and he addeth no sorrow with it. - The wise in heart will receive commandments:
but a prating fool shall fall.
The desire of a man is his kindness:
and a poor man is better than a liar.Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.Next verse!With image
