- Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.
- But when Jesus heard it, he answered him, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole.
- And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.
- And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
- Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

for her price is far above rubies. - And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
- Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain:
but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised. - Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.

that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb?
yea, they may forget,
yet will I not forget thee.
Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands;
thy walls are continually before me. - The heavens declare the glory of God;
and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
Day unto day uttereth speech,
and night unto night sheweth knowledge. - A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth:
he will guide his affairs with discretion. - Shew me thy ways, O Lord;
teach me thy paths. - The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again:
but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth. - With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful;
with an upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright. - And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
- And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath. And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself. And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity. And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God. And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day. The Lord then answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering? And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day? And when he had said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him.
- And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.
- Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
- The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
he leadeth me beside the still waters. - To him that is afflicted pity should be shewed from his friend;
but he forsaketh the fear of the Almighty. - Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.
- How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days.
- Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
- And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publicly, and from house to house.
I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart;
I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear. O Lord, thou art my God;
I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name;
for thou hast done wonderful things;
thy counsels of old
