- I have swept away your transgressions like a cloud
and your sins like a mist.
Return to me,
for I have redeemed you. - I have chosen the way of faithfulness;
I have set your judgments before me. - Anyone who has received my commandments
and observes them
is the one who loves me.
And whoever loves me
will be loved by my Father,
and I will love him
and reveal myself to him. - I intend to prove the holiness of my great name which has been profaned among the nations, and which you have profaned among them. Thus, the nations will know that I am the Lord, says the Lord God, when through you I will display my holiness in their sight.
- He said to them, “Come, follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
- Honor your father and your mother so that your days may be lengthened in the land that the Lord your God, will give you.
- Guide my steps in accord with your word
and never let evil triumph over me. - Trust wholeheartedly in the Lord
rather than relying on your own intelligence.
In everything you do, acknowledge him,
and he will see that your paths are straight. - Keep falsehood and lying far from me;
give me neither poverty nor riches,
but simply provide me with the food that I need. - For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
nor are your ways my ways, says the Lord. - Do not be like your ancestors, to whom the prophets of that time proclaimed. Thus says the Lord of hosts: Forsake your evil ways and your evil deeds. But they refused to listen or to pay attention to me, says the Lord.
- Repent and renounce all your transgressions. Otherwise your iniquity will prove to be your downfall.
- But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions.
- I sought the Lord, and he answered me;
he set me free from all my fears. - Create in me a clean heart, O God,
and renew a resolute spirit within me. - To do your will, O God, is my delight;
your law is in my heart. - Then keep your tongue from evil
and your lips from telling lies. - Just as the living Father sent me
and I have life because of the Father,
so whoever feeds upon me will live because of me. - Examine me, O God, and know my heart;
test me and understand my thoughts.
See if I follow an evil way,
and guide me on the way to eternity. - You shall observe the Sabbath by keeping it holy, as the Lord, your God, has commanded you. You are to labor on six days, doing all of your work then. The seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord, your God. You shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your ox, nor your ass, nor your cattle, nor even the foreigner living in your town. Thus your manservant and maidservant can rest as well.
- Restore us, O Lord of hosts;
let your face shine upon us,
and we will be saved. - Amen, amen, I say to you,
whoever receives the one I send
receives me,
and whoever receives me
receives the one who sent me. - And anyone who does not take up his cross and follow me is not worthy of me.
- May he give you your heart’s desire
and grant you success in all your plans. - So if I, your Lord and Teacher,
have washed your feet,
you also should wash one another’s feet.
Jesus then said to her, “Do not hold on to me, because I have not yet ascended to my Father. But go to my brethren and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’ ”Therefore, you have no excuse, whoever you may be, when you pass judgment on others. For in judging others you condemn yourself, since you are doing the same things. And let the peace of Christ reign in your hearts, because it was for this that you were called together in one body. Always be thankful.Next verse!With image
