Bible Verses about 'Take'
- And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me.
- And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Than to put confidence in man. - Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.”
- Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown.
- And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, “Take, eat; this is My body.”
- So you shall serve the Lord your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you.
- When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.”
- By pride comes nothing but strife,
But with the well-advised is wisdom. - Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.
- As he came from his mother’s womb, naked shall he return,
To go as he came;
And he shall take nothing from his labor
Which he may carry away in his hand. - You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.
- Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart,
All you who hope in the Lord. - Abba, Father, all things are possible for You. Take this cup away from Me; nevertheless, not what I will, but what You will.
- But He knows the way that I take;
When He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold.
My foot has held fast to His steps;
I have kept His way and not turned aside. - Wait on the Lord;
Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart;
Wait, I say, on the Lord! - Every word of God is pure;
He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. - Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
- He shall cover you with His feathers,
And under His wings you shall take refuge;
His truth shall be your shield and buckler. - You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.
- And He said to them, “Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses.”
- As for God, His way is perfect;
The word of the Lord is proven;
He is a shield to all who trust in Him. - Delight yourself also in the Lord,
And He shall give you the desires of your heart. - “If you will not hear,
And if you will not take it to heart,
To give glory to My name,”
Says the Lord of hosts,
“I will send a curse upon you,
And I will curse your blessings.
Yes, I have cursed them already,
Because you do not take it to heart.” - But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.”
- I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.
- As for God, His way is perfect;
The word of the Lord is proven;
He is a shield to all who trust in Him. - Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
- These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.
- For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content.
- The Lord is good,
A stronghold in the day of trouble;
And He knows those who trust in Him. - Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God.
- Now therefore, let the fear of the Lord be upon you; take care and do it, for there is no iniquity with the Lord our God, no partiality, nor taking of bribes.
- Then the Lord God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”— therefore the Lord God sent him out of the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken.
- Oh, how great is Your goodness,
Which You have laid up for those who fear You,
Which You have prepared for those who trust in You
In the presence of the sons of men! - Therefore know this day, and consider it in your heart, that the Lord Himself is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath; there is no other.
- The Lord redeems the soul of His servants,
And none of those who trust in Him shall be condemned. - Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
- I will love You, O Lord, my strength.
The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer;
My God, my strength, in whom I will trust;
My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. - “For I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies,” says the Lord God. “Therefore turn and live!”
- Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord.
- But take careful heed to do the commandment and the law which Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, to love the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways, to keep His commandments, to hold fast to Him, and to serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul.
- You shall not hate your brother in your heart. You shall surely rebuke your neighbor, and not bear sin because of him. You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord.
- And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret.
- Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
- And when they saw Him walking on the sea, they supposed it was a ghost, and cried out; for they all saw Him and were troubled. But immediately He talked with them and said to them, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.”
- In You, O Lord, I put my trust;
Let me never be ashamed;
Deliver me in Your righteousness.
