- Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.”
- I myself did not know him, but the one who sent me to baptize with water said to me, ‘He on whom you see the Spirit descend and remain is the one who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’
- I keep the Lord always before me;
because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. - “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are beneficial. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be dominated by anything.
- Return to me, says the Lord of hosts, and I will return to you, says the Lord of hosts.
- Deliver me, O Lord,
from lying lips,
from a deceitful tongue. - To you, O God of my ancestors,
I give thanks and praise,
for you have given me wisdom and power,
and have now revealed to me what we asked of you,
for you have revealed to us what the king ordered. - I have chosen the way of faithfulness;
I set your ordinances before me. - In God, whose word I praise,
in God I trust; I am not afraid;
what can flesh do to me? - You show me the path of life.
In your presence there is fullness of joy;
in your right hand are pleasures forevermore. - Keep on doing the things that you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, and the God of peace will be with you.
- You shall not make gods of silver alongside me, nor shall you make for yourselves gods of gold.
- Keep my steps steady according to your promise,
and never let iniquity have dominion over me. - Jesus then said, “I will be with you a little while longer, and then I am going to him who sent me.”
- If you know me, you will know my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.
- See, I am coming soon; my reward is with me, to repay according to everyone's work.
- Yet even now, says the Lord,
return to me with all your heart,
with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning. - So we can say with confidence,
“The Lord is my helper;
I will not be afraid.
What can anyone do to me?” - I am the gate. Whoever enters by me will be saved, and will come in and go out and find pasture.
- But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.” So, I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.
- Deep calls to deep
at the thunder of your cataracts;
all your waves and your billows
have gone over me. - Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.
- Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
- If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask for whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
- He called the crowd with his disciples, and said to them, “If any want to become my followers, let them deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.”
Be exalted, O God, above the heavens.
Let your glory be over all the earth. O God, you are my God, I seek you,
my soul thirsts for you;
my flesh faints for you,
as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.Next verse!With image
