- Heal me, Lord, and I will be healed;
save me and I will be saved,
for you are the one I praise. - Jesus answered, “My teaching is not my own. It comes from the one who sent me.”
- Taste and see that the Lord is good;
blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. - There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But you—who are you to judge your neighbor?
- And I myself did not know him, but the one who sent me to baptize with water told me, ‘The man on whom you see the Spirit come down and remain is the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.’

- To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne.
- No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.
- Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper,
but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy. - Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
- Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.

The one who was dying blessed me;
I made the widow’s heart sing. - But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.
- Blessed is the one
who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
or sit in the company of mockers. - Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.
- John answered, “Anyone who has two shirts should share with the one who has none, and anyone who has food should do the same.”
- For this is what the high and exalted One says—
he who lives forever, whose name is holy:
“I live in a high and holy place,
but also with the one who is contrite and lowly in spirit,
to revive the spirit of the lowly
and to revive the heart of the contrite.” - The one who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work.
- The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
The one who keeps God’s commands lives in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
