- So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other.

but love makes up for all offenses. - But you may wonder, ‘How will we know whether or not a prophecy is from the Lord?’ If the prophet speaks in the Lord’s name but his prediction does not happen or come true, you will know that the Lord did not give that message. That prophet has spoken without my authority and need not be feared.
- Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good.
- And he has given us this command: Those who love God must also love their fellow believers.
- A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
- When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father.

- In the same way, husbands ought to love their wives as they love their own bodies. For a man who loves his wife actually shows love for himself.
- Those who love your instructions have great peace
and do not stumble. - There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
- Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged.
- And may the Lord make your love for one another and for all people grow and overflow, just as our love for you overflows.
- Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.
