- And daily in the temple, and in every house, they did not cease teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ.
- Blessed is the man
Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
Nor stands in the path of sinners,
Nor sits in the seat of the scornful. - Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
Forever. - Train up a child in the way he should go,
And when he is old he will not depart from it. - Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.
- For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.
- Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth! - But I have trusted in Your mercy;
My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation.
I will sing to the Lord,
Because He has dealt bountifully with me. - Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.
- Yes, in the way of Your judgments,
O Lord, we have waited for You;
The desire of our soul is for Your name
And for the remembrance of You. - Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
- Riches do not profit in the day of wrath,
But righteousness delivers from death. - So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
- In the multitude of my anxieties within me,
Your comforts delight my soul. - You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
- He reveals deep and secret things;
He knows what is in the darkness,
And light dwells with Him. - Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.
- But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen. - The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.
- And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.
- Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
And those who love it will eat its fruit. - For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand.
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
Than dwell in the tents of wickedness. - And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
- Save now, I pray, O Lord;
O Lord, I pray, send now prosperity.
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!
We have blessed you from the house of the Lord. - For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world.
