Chinese (traditional)Bible Verses about 'Wealth'
- The rich man's wealth is his strong city,
and as an high wall in his own conceit. - Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished:
but he that gathereth by labour shall increase. - Every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labour; this is the gift of God.
- House and riches are the inheritance of fathers:
and a prudent wife is from the Lord. - Honour the Lord with thy substance,
and with the firstfruits of all thine increase. - Let no man seek his own, but every man another's wealth.
- He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loveth abundance with increase: this is also vanity.
- Labour not to be rich:
cease from thine own wisdom. - The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich,
and he addeth no sorrow with it. - The ransom of a man's life are his riches:
but the poor heareth not rebuke. - By humility and the fear of the Lord
are riches, and honour, and life. - He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.
- Better is little with the fear of the Lord
than great treasure and trouble therewith. - Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.
- Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not?
for riches certainly make themselves wings;
they fly away as an eagle toward heaven. - The Lord maketh poor, and maketh rich:
he bringeth low, and lifteth up. - But godliness with contentment is great gain.
- Treasures of wickedness profit nothing:
but righteousness delivereth from death. - A little that a righteous man hath
is better than the riches of many wicked.
For the arms of the wicked shall be broken:
but the Lord upholdeth the righteous. - No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
- Riches profit not in the day of wrath:
but righteousness delivereth from death. - A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches,
and loving favour rather than silver and gold. - When goods increase, they are increased that eat them: and what good is there to the owners thereof, saving the beholding of them with their eyes?
- To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
- Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy.
That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ.But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. He that covereth a transgression seeketh love;
but he that repeateth a matter separateth very friends.Next verse!With image
