- Don’t you realize that I could ask my Father for thousands of angels to protect us, and he would send them instantly?

- The Lord is close to all who call on him,
yes, to all who call on him in truth. - He will judge everyone according to what they have done.
- Don’t misunderstand why I have come. I did not come to abolish the law of Moses or the writings of the prophets. No, I came to accomplish their purpose.
- But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.
- He gives power to the weak
and strength to the powerless. - Therefore he is able, once and forever, to save those who come to God through him. He lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf.
- The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me,
for the Lord has anointed me
to bring good news to the poor.
He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted
and to proclaim that captives will be released
and prisoners will be freed. - But be very careful to obey all the commands and the instructions that Moses gave to you. Love the Lord your God, walk in all his ways, obey his commands, hold firmly to him, and serve him with all your heart and all your soul.
- If the person still refuses to listen, take your case to the church. Then if he or she won’t accept the church’s decision, treat that person as a pagan or a corrupt tax collector.
